Part 1: Strides

Exercise:

  • Strides: 3 x 100 m

  • Rest: Walk back to the start between reps

Instructions:
Gradually build effort from 60% to 90% across each repetition.

Part 2: Interval Sets

Workout:
Complete 2 sets of the following:

  • Every 4 minutes x 4 rounds:

    • 600 m run

Rest:

  • 6-8 minutes between sets

Effort Guidelines:

  • Sets 1-2: Run at your 5K pace

  • Sets 3-4: Run 5 seconds faster per 400 m

Part 3: Cool-Down

Exercise:
After your final interval:

  • 10 minutes of walk-jog-run at a recovery pace
